Berude is "30" years old and hails from the Azim Steppe. She has had what most would consider a rather difficult life. Happy and bubbly at most times, she can often be found around her company house or hanging out at various local lounges.

Citizen Snips
Citizen Snips, real name Rlain, has been Berude's closest friend and confidant since she arrived in Eorzea. When she was lost, hungry, and alone, this little crab found her and helped her find food. Ever since then, Berude has treated her little crab with the utmost respect, care, and love.
Through the outpouring of love and affection from Berude toward her guardian crab-angel, Rlain has gained several strange, arcane abilities, including the power to change his size at will - or at the command of his lizard friend. Berude uses the larger form of Citizen Snips as her primary means of travel from place to place, as he is large and strong enough to carry the slight Xaela anywhere.
Rlain is fiercely loyal to Berude, and will come to her defense whenever she is threatened. He often remains at home, only being summoned in times of emergency - or when she needs someone to talk to. He doesn't ever reply, but Berude somehow appears to be able to intuit what the crab is thinking. Often, he can be caught singing simple songs to himself, as if the rhythms soothe him.

Jewelry - A necklace and ring crafted by the Legendary Hero of Legendary Legend, Kuugha Hotgo.
Stone of Waves - a deep blue gemstone with arm straps which can produce water with jarring (punch-like) motions, gotten from Zinivieve Qalli.
Shiny Stuff Pouch - a small pouch filled with six pearls from Kheree Qestir. Alt Moks provided five blue gems of water resistance. Sarkany Iriq traded two amber shards of dalamud, one with a bit of magnetite attached. Hal'jitro Dotharl provided a small fang of an ice dragon.
Bamboo Box - a temperature-controlled bamboo box that keeps for about four bells after properly chilling or heating the interior, received from Eyja Kagon.
Jar of Fermented Milk - traded for stew from Dzoldzaya Ugund. It'll be good to use with firmer foods.
Mammoth Meat - Soyolmaa Dazkar hunted and traded this meat to Beru. It has since been converted into a meatloaf, that was delicious.
Octopus (1) - Acquired from Xihqo'a Qidhaj. Named Tenty. Now in the possession of Verre Meiken.
Karakul Briquettes - Bartered from Od Bolir. They smell of sweet grasses when burned, and are quite efficient at powering stoves for cooking purposes (1.5 ponze).
Bird Skull Necklace - Gifted to Beru by her bestie, Nergui Ancilla, in exchange for being besties at Soup. It is a small bird skull and feathers bound by a simple leather cord, handmade special just for Beru. Probably her most treasured possession on this list.
Mythril Mammet Hand - a blue metal hand that was too heavy for a mammet, and too small to replace Beru's hand, sadly. Given by Alt Moks.
Sandy Brown Journal - a leather-bound journal from Art Stormslayer that will one day be filled with tales of Beru's many adventures.
Chocobo Race Certificates (2) - parchments that can allow Beru to enter the next chocobo races! She's been told that she can ride Snippy. Gotten from Chimeg Goro.
